Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups plain flour
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 level tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 cup cold water
1/2 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Grease a 20 cm round or ring cake tin. Sift dry ingredients. Whisk oil, water, vinegar and vanilla. Combine with the dry ingredients, with the minimum of stirring. Bake for 30—35 minutes.
Icing
1/4 cup cocoa
1 cup icing sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/8 cup water
1/4 cup Nuttelex
Combine all ingredients.
