One of the biggest challenges it seems for most people is to make the break, commit to as little as a day out of town and jump in the car and do it. But once you do it, we often wonder why we have not done it before now.

Monthly Yoga Days include: arriving in time for morning tea, yoga nidra – deep relaxation, organic vegetarian lunch, a walk in the surrounding forests and a stretch class at 3.30pm and enough time for a chat about what is on offer at the centre.

In addition and to coincide with the full moon a Havan – fire ceremony (an esoteric aspect of yoga), Mahamrityunjaya Healing Mantra Chanting and Satsang with an invited Guest Speaker completes the total experience of a Yoga Day.

Devi Havan
Every Friday at 5.30pm throughout the year
Devi Havan, (fire ceremony – the esoteric aspect of yoga)

Friday is the day dedicated to appreciate the qualities of the divine in the form of grace, beauty, kindness, excellence, gratitude, applied wisdom and many other qualities.

Havan the physical fire, yantra – creating an auspicious space with flowers, incense, oil lights and design and the chanting of specific devi mantras are the outer tools for inner transformation.

You are welcome to stay for dinner and the evening program of Kirtan – chanting of mantras with musical instruments.
Fee $15

5.30pm Meditation
Monday to Thursday throughout the year
Antar Mouna – inner silence is a ½ hour meditation practiced at the end of the day to free unnecessary thoughts which naturally accumulate in daily life.
You are welcome to stay for dinner and the evening program of chanting.

Yoga Day
Sep 13

The Bhagavad Gita is a text outlining a technique of action, a technique that needs to be learnt & practiced as you would any other technique.
Through action one gains the spirit of renunciation which leads to meditation. Hence the emphasis on learning and practicing the art of action.
Bhagavad Gita Chapter five: 'Karma, Sanyasa Yoga' - translated as The Yoga of Renunciation of Action'. The last three verses of this chapter give a
few procedural details for practicing meditation & realising the ultimate state of Being in oneself. Andrew Oliver studied Vedanta philosophy, including
the Bhagavad Gita, in India for eight years. Andrew facilitates several discussion groups on the philosophy which are thought provoking and emphasise class interaction.
Treat yourself to something new & be surprised at how practical philosophy can be.
